macOS Troubleshooting

Since macOS Big Sur 11.0& M1 chip, the operating system applies a stricter security policy to software that requires kernel extensions (kexts). The driver installation includes a system extension that is affected by this policy.

As a result, the user now has to explicitly enable this system extension in the Security & Privacy system preference after installation and before the software is allowed to run.

Windows Troubleshooting

My UtechSmart Quadruple Display USB C docking station does not work at all, or I get the message "USB device not recognized", when connecting on Windows.

If your UtechSmart Quadruple Display USB C docking station does not work, has stopped working, or has never worked, follow the steps below to try and diagnose if it is a hardware problem.

1. Compatibility Tips: The host system Type C port supports DisplayPort Alt Mode and Power Delivery.

2. If your device comes with USB Type-C 3.1 Gen 1, HDMI1 will not output signals.

3. Make sure you have downloaded/updated the latest driver version.

Audio/Mic Remind

Plug in this USB C Docking Station sometimes will change the default Audio output device to Docking Station which means your laptop speakers will not work anymore. To make your laptop speaker work please change your laptop OS setting the audio output device back to laptop speakers.
